How is Vocal Coaching different than Voice Lessons?
Vocal Coaching is more casually referred to as, “Banging out the notes.” But it is a bit more than that!
We help singers learn their individual part(s), be it a solo, duet, or a choral piece. We will help you understand how your part fits in to the overall piece by playing the accompaniment, or playing or singing some of the other lines or vocal parts. You will have a trained ear listening and providing tips and suggestions on trouble spots in the piece, possible intonation or diction issues, balance with the accompaniment or other parts, and more.
In short, we workshop and rehearse the piece with you. Even if you have a piano or keyboard and you are able to bang out your own notes, working in a vocal coaching session will allow you to have all your energy going toward the actual singing. And everyone else hears you differently than you can hear yourself!
Please Note: Singers must have printed sheet music for what they wish to study in session. We are not able to work with singers using recordings.
Individual vocal coaching sessions are $30 per half-hour and available in 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions. A discounted rate is available for singers who wish to have a regular weekly coaching session for 1 or more months.
